Raw Cashew Cheese – I Am Glorious
- 2 c of cashews soaked for 12hours
- Probiotics
- bowl of pitted black olives
- bunch of chives
- bunch of parsley
- grounded Nutmeg
- himlayan salt and pepper
- nutritional yeast
Know How Now
Soak the cashews for 12 hours.
Rince the cashews, put them in a high speed blender.
Add one capsule of probiotics (just the powder inside the capsule) in a cup of water and pour the whole cup in the blender with the cashews. Blend until it forms a paste.
Put the mixture in a bowl and cover it with a cheese cloth or a cling film.
Make sure the film or clothe touches the mixture so there is as little air as possible between the cheese base and the cover.
Let it ferment in a warm place for 15hours .
Remove the film and add 1.5 ts of nutritional yeast, 2 ts of salt, 1ts black pepper, 1ts of nutmeg, chopped chives and parsley. This makes a very tasty cheese already but you can add an other extra ingredient:
In the blender, take the olives and add some olive oil and blend to create an olive paste.
Stick the olive paste in the cheese and mix.
Yuuummmm! Enjoy with some crackers! It’s the best starter!!!
