Better Than Tuna – I’m Worth It
Ingredients:
- 3c hulled sunflower seeds
- 1/4 c lemon juice
- 1/2 cup of water
- Salt, tamari, nama shoyu
- 2.5 celery sticks
- 1/4 white or red onion
Know How Now
Soak the sunflower seeds up to 8hours and rinse. Put them in a food processor with the water and the lemon juice. Add 3 dashes of tamari, nama shoyu or pinches of salt to taste ( you can also use kelp powder). Process until it forms a tuna like pate. It should be thick and creamy.
Then add the onion and the celery sticks, finely diced and mix with a spoon.
You can serve the “raw vegan tuna” on a green salad as per our picture. You can even dehydrate it and it makes a crispy yummy cracker which tastes almost like tuna!!
